Our Love is Better than Ever and...

...a celebration of commitment and honor. Thirty-two years ago we became soul mates. Our road has been full of bumps, dumps, and jumps but without these "-umps" we would not be the mates that we were destined to be.

YES...I'm traveling again.

I love to travel and especially to my hometown of Bville. It is approximately 9 1/2 hours by car and just a few hours by air. I choose to fly whenever possible.

Helping our city's economy by departing from our airport would be great--not to mention the ease and convenience. However, this is impossible due to the flight cost. As large as our city is, we have only ONE air carrier provider - D. We have had 2 providers in the past but for some reason they disappear. I just don't understand. So.....I travel to Montgomery or Tallahassee for their reasonable rates.

Just a few days ago I was surfing on the internet for possible flights home through D. I always begin checking departures from Dothan, Montgomery, Tallahassee, etc. with arrivals to: Florence, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Columbia, etc. Bville is closer to Florence so I prefer flying there.

As I was checking D airlines to Florence, the prices were $732 from Dothan vs. $160 from Montgomery. WOW! What a difference. Now US-A flies out of Montgomery so if I'm going to drive to Mongtomery why not checks their prices...their Montgomery to Florence was $215. Ok...just a little higher than D, BUT check this out. I checked D to Charlotte ($432) and US-A to Charlotte---it was $78. WOW, DOUBLE WOW!!!

So I'm gone as of today for a week's visit with my parents and family.
