Girlfriends. "GNO". A blast!
~3.27.14~

With these girls (and we were missing two girlfriends) you can always count on plenty of food, lots of laughter, and good time fun. We enjoyed munching on pizzas, Neiman Marcus dip & crackers/pretzels, cream puffs, and a dishpan full of White Trash. We all brought our favorite drink.

In February of 2013 we enjoyed a few days at the beach and had an awesome time. This was the first time I had ever played Phase Ten, and I loved the game. Lisa won that night.

So.....I decided that we girls needed to have a rematch or "dethroning" of the Phase Ten Queen, Lisa.
(February 2013)

So on this night we began our game a little after 7 PM.

Laughter, competitiveness, and fun
ended around 11:45 PM
with a new Phase Ten Queen...Gloria.

These girls are so much fun to be around.
I am blessed to have each one of them in my life.

Small Kitchen Gadget

Today I am writing about a kitchen appliance. This wonderful little kitchen tool is just the right size for those small, small recipes. You know, those recipes that take only 5-10 minutes to "throw together".

Now I've written about my cooking skills before...I have very few. I really despise cooking. I do have a few favorites but they have pretty much worn their "welcome" out at the house. Looking for some new ones..... not really. HA!!!

Anyway, this neat little gadget was a Christmas gift from my brother & his wife many, many, many, MANY years ago. So when preparing a recipe soon after receiving this gift, I brought it out from the cabinet and began to fill it with what needed to be crushed/ground/mixed.

Turned the top part of the tool and pressed the orange button at the back. Yes............no! Nothing happened. I rechecked everything and pressed the button again. Still nothing happened. This went on for about 10-15 minutes with me getting more frustrated than ever.

You know what I did! Yep...I emptied that sucker, washed it, boxed it back up, and put it back in the cabinet (forever). Or so I thought.

Some years ago I found this little kitchen (sucker) tool in the cabinet as I was cleaning. I had it stuck WAY BACK...out of sight. I pulled it out, set it on the counter, and decided to take another look at how it must work.

Surprise, surprise...I had matured a little (just a little now) in my kitchen tool knowledge. Seems that the top part MUST "click" (not just a turn) into place before it will function when the orange button is depressed.

So...I wanted you to know of the news of "rebirth" for my small kitchen tool. I've used it quite a few times in these last years. It is a neat little tool.

Just don't expect my cooking skills to gain new life...it won't happen!

Attacked by pollen last Tuesday/Wednesday and this *hack-hack* of a cough is awful.  I felt awful for a few days with just the coughing. No fever, drainage, pressure, etc...just coughing. I just loaded up on syrup to get a half-decent night of sleep.

Yesterday and today were probably two of my best days. I still cough kinda rough but sure do feel better.

And what a gorgeous day it is today. The weather is nice and it's pretty outside.

I want to go outside and work in my yards. I want to rake and remove. I want to dig and plant.

Walked outside to the road to get the garbage can/recycle basket and bring back to the house, met up with sweet neighbor & spoke for just a few minutes...she saw and I turned around.....

.....to a large cloud of pollen just breezin' by.

O.K.     For real!     Seriously!!!

Guess I'll go back inside.

(pollen cloud similar to what we saw today)

Praying & trusting Him who holds us in His hand.

I once was.....

.....living years and years to an unfamiliar tune. A tune for me. A tune others wanted to hear from me. A tune that could change with time, if allowed.

True, tunes change but sometimes people do not. Therefore, they remain locked in the original tune singing it over and over again. Kind of expecting that once sung tune to always fit.

Makes it hard for people who change with the tunes to listen to one who sings the original.

Deep, deep thinking & searching
             His Word
For clarification & understanding.

                                                    Many questions
                                                          Many opinions
                                                               One Truth

                     Oh help me understand
                           That truth for us.
