Remembering you is so easy. You're in my heart every day. It's that physical separation that is a heartache that never goes away.

But I have HOPE that one day I will be free from this grief of separation & "my shackles will be loosed in the dust beneath dancing feet" as I join you in Glorious Heaven.

While I wanted to check on the students & their wireless keyboards, September 28th was a Parent Teacher Conference day. I did, however, get to speak to Ms. Rogers & get her feedback on her vision goal accomplishment using these keyboards.

The next day she offered these photos of the students working to DonorsChoose which were shared with me. It is such a joy to see the students hard at work & using wireless keyboards in their assignments.

Table of Love 2015

This year for TOL I hosted and decorated my table using bee theme items with the scripture verse...

Gracious word are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul &
healing to the bones.
~Proverbs 16:24.

Enjoy viewing some of the other tables.

and my table guests enjoyed the tables too.

Lots of fun at our table and
four ladies were "Door Prize" winners.

TOL Speaker...Kim Jaggers

A wonderful time of Christian fellowship.

Lunch & Learn w/Lisa

Today I had the pleasure of attending an author's luncheon  hosted by the Friends of the Library group with the Dothan Houston Country Library System. The event was held at The Cellar, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken salad and fresh fruit. Approximately 35+ people attended.

The Friends President, Everlie Bolton, welcomed everyone, spoke of their group, and introduced the new library director, Jason LeDuc. As Jason was speaking, our lunch was served.

Everlie introduced Author Lisa Wingate who is an inspirational writer and has written over 25 books. She is a Christy Award nominee,  a ACFW Carol Award nominee, and a 2015 RT Booklovers Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award Winner. She was recently selected by the Americans for More Civility group as a recipient who works to promote greater kindness and civility in American life.

Lisa spoke on her latest book, The Sea Keeper's Daughters. She also spoke about preserving your own family history thru oral/written stories. We also heard some history of the Freedom Writers. What a great "Lunch & Learn"! I look forward to many more events.

Appointments are part of one's daily schedule and can often times leave you frustrated. We sometimes must sit & wait in a doctor, dentist or business office. On occasion I have had to wait.

I sit & look at other people wondering what's on their mind. I read a book if I've taken my NOOK. I read their mostly outdated magazines. It's just not a pleasant visit...the waiting and waiting.

For some time now when I visit Max who cuts my hair, I walk into his place with a feeling of coming home. That kind of feeling where you rest in your mind with calmness & peace. His choice of music is Christian...familiar songs of praise & worship.

Today was no exception.

As he was cutting my hair, a song came on Pandora, and he and I were singing along to ourselves. What joy of knowing that we worshiped together in song, quietly & independently in this moment of listening.

I had to capture a picture of us. He probably thinks I'm crazy.....but you know what.....I am crazy..... for Jesus.

AND.......he cuts my hair just like I like it!

I remember back in 2013 after our TOL event @ MBC a friend telling me how she always began thinking about the next event, and that I would too. I thought to myself..."not me". Seems that my friend was right.

Not long after the event I began thinking about a scripture verse and a theme for the verse. My heart really settled on a verse from Proverbs, and I began thinking about bees to compliment the verse. Done.

Whenever I would go shopping from that time on, I would always have my eyes looking for anything that would help to make a pretty table. One day Sue & I were out shopping (2013), and we stopped at Dollar Tree. There I found some plates ($1 each) with a color I really liked. (She bought them because she wanted them, and I have kept them until the next event. Isn't she sweet?)

Then when we vacationed (2014) in the mountains with Gloria & Mike I found some tins (with a referee symbol on top & black/white stripe bottom) that I repainted the top part to match the plates. Best part of the tins.............they were $.25 each. Then I purchased some small bottles (2015) to add a bit of honey as part of my gift along with some Burt Bee chapstick.

With some leftover jute, burlap, yellow paper filler from Garrett's wedding (2013), I have made chair wraps with the burlap and filled the tins with the paper.

Everything is just coming together.

Just last month I purchased a bee cookie jar to add atop an upside down iron basket for my centerpiece. Got some pretty flowers from Gayle next door to add just a bit of interest.

Now to put some finishing touches onto the tablescape before the day arrives. Only 14 more days.
