I posted this first picture at the beginning of January. Frank took the picture in December 2020.

Since March he has been keeping track of this area and the building of this dam. The beavers have really done a great job. The second picture he sent this past Saturday, February 20th. So much rain lately.

HAPPY VALENTINES WEEKEND

Glenn & I drove over to Publix today
to pick out some sweet treats for us
to enjoy this weekend
as we celebrate our Valentine Love.

 Anyone can catch your eye,
but it takes someone special
to catch your heart.

Today was my last post-cataract surgery exam. With a reading length of 18 ½ inches and vision of 20/20, here I am waiting for Dr. Sugg. After his final exam, I am released until August 11th. YAY!!!

Today…we received the first of two Covid vaccine shots. We both signed up online Saturday morning when it was announced on Friday, January 29th,  that the window for 65+ and older was opened.

I left the house @ 11AM and soon approached the hospital for my “drive-thru” appointment.

Glenn’s appointment was 20 minutes after mine so he went on his truck as SE Health had asked persons not to show up early. We are to receive our second vaccine on March 1st.

When the first of several vaccines was presented in the news after just a few months of Covid, I was unsure if I would take the shot. It was happening all too fast... development & trials. How was it possible in such a short time?

More months passed and in December 2020 the vaccines ready for distribution were Emergency Approved…and we watched the news. We read articles. Still, I had some questions.

Then I left it at the chair...my chair of daily conversation with God. I poured my questions and concerns into His Word, and I prayed. God is always faithful to assure his children.

The drive-thru clinic was held in a lower parking lot section at Southeast Health. Lots of staff/volunteers were on hand who made the process of being vaccinated and the required 15 min wait time flow smooth & easy.

This was my sweet vaccinator.

and I even got a "sticker" for being good.

Today one of my buddies graduated into Glory.

Mike was the biggest Alabama Fan EVER!!! He always wore a beautiful smile and had a welcoming “Hello” for any one. He gave the BEST hugs. You were just drawn to him with all his charm.

Not only did Mike love Alabama football but he loved bowling. He was a very good bowler. Mike was also part of the annual “Wiregrass Buddy Walk”. He and Brandy Deese would host a team. I was honored to walk for their team on several occasions.

When Gayle lived in Dothan, she and I would walk early every morning. We would get to Mike’s house right before his bus came to pick him up for his daily adventure. He would be waiting in his driveway, and when he saw us coming, he would walk toward the road and wait. Then we would hug-hug and chat for just a few minutes. It was our special time.

I know when I graduate...Mike will be smiling and ready to hug.💗
