Monday was wonderful!
I spent the day at The Lodge relaxing and renewing.

 

 

A reception for Ron later in the evening 

was enjoyed and laughter filled the area. 

From the deck you will see...

the pier that was washed away

during a storm some years ago.

Tuesday the five of us spent time in Fairhope antiquing.

Just a couple of hours back to The Lodge

before we meet again for dinner.

 A rainy, sleep-in morning.

 

 

 

The afternoon was "on your own" 

with a couple of hours of BINGO and Cornhole games going on.

 

We attended the evening Dinner Banquet and

sat with Laurie-Elba/New Brockton Director.

Glenn is her accountant.

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. 

We departed around 7:30AM in hopes of avoiding rain.

We had rain for a while.

TABLES OF LOVE~~~

Our last Tables of Love Event at our church

 filled us with so many emotions.

In the year of each event our committee spent many months

planning, on phone calls & selecting a speaker and needed items.

The last two months were spent fine-tuning plans and

welcoming hostesses for the event.

 

Before our event in 2019 each of us felt

the Lord leading us to welcome a new generation

of women from the church to spearhead the event.

 After finally admitting our thoughts to each other,

we shared, prayed and spoke with our pastor, Bro Jim.

 

Another change that year was the naming

of the new Women's Ministry Leader, Julie Gonzales.

She hosted this year's Tables of Love 

with guest speaker Catherine Johnson.

 

Tables were beautifully decorated with scripture themes.

A delicious meal of salad with citrus dressing, 

pork loin with a cranberry mix,

dressing, bacon wrapped beans and roll was enjoyed. 

Two kinds of dessert were scrumptious!

 

Ladies gathered...viewing the tables, talking & laughing,

sitting & enjoying the meal with table-mates,

hearing an encouraging word from the speaker.

 

As I was enjoying the evening, I was reminded

of the TOL events our team planned and

the wonderful team we were together.

This evening...I missed my sweet ladies.
