 Celebrating the end

of a friend's cancer journey

 Glenn is enjoying some time away. When he leaves each year at this time, I always set a major goal around the house. This year found both of us sick (Glenn, Feb 11th & I, the 15th) with a respiratory illness. We are feeling better and almost at 100%.

I paced myself with this goal and set "rest times" each day. There was a lot of purging going on, and two friends came and hauled off my "junk" for their "treasure". This space looks GREAT! I can't believe, with a little shifting around, the area would look so spacious. Very pleased!!!

Now it's my time to get away...leaving in the morning!

 We may be on the road to recovery with this last virus journey. Never have we experienced any medical issue like this before. And we were both sick at the same time with the same symptoms. Whew!!!

Thankful for the end of this journey, and each day bringing more strength to our weakened health system. 

Seeking protective coverage for every aspect of my schedule for the day according to His Will for me is one of my daily petitions. He is always faithful in His watch care. We may not know His outcome for the day for us, but we can be assured His best is The Best for us.

His protection & love for me this day assured me that I was still working on my earthly purpose and had not yet completed the task. He circled me and gave me strength & calm to handle an immediate task at hand.

His love continues to hold me close.

The endless grace

of our overflowing God;

it's meant to be experienced directly.

Began a real life transformation

with intentional space

& began the radical habit

of thanking God

for His gifts to me

some years ago.

The most important thing for me

was to simple begin so

I picked up a pen, journal

and changed my life.

     Today begins the third week of coughing, headaches, fever, congestion/drainage, & lack of energy for Glenn. My week begins this coming Thursday. Our breathing has remained the same although some days we take deeper breaths. "Fits" of coughing during the day cost us breath. Nights are sometimes troubling as we try to go to sleep due to the continuous coughing that attacks us.

     Our visit to our doctor today revealed that most likely we are dealing with Adult RSV. Although this diagnosis often reveals a viral infection, some meds were discussed for use on the off chance that they would help. The cough syrup will definitely help us get a good nights sleep.

     Oxygen...we need some steady breathing times...without a "hacking cough" episode.

 hail damage repair continues...

Glenn's truck went to the shop this morning. He'll get a new hood and bed cover due to the multiple "hail dimples". The other "dimples" will be repaired by the Hail Damage Team out of Dallas, TX. Expected finished time...March 8th. 

Our little rental ride is cute. 😊

Remember that hail we had on January 9th of this year?

Our insurance adjuster reported that the back half roof of our home & shed showed hail damage. Our patio cover was also damaged. We contacted a roofing company recommended to us. 

We met with Willie on a Monday afternoon (Feb 5). Wednesday morning (Feb 7) Glenn woke me early with news that the guys were coming within the hour. In two days we had a new roof and new friends!
