A special event
that happens every two years
at our church is
Tables of Love.
The TOL Committee, Glenda Forrest, Jean Clark, Judy Wells & myself, begin in February with the planning as we meet with our pastor Bro Jim. For the next months until the event we depend upon each other to handle the tasks assigned to us by us. We have worked so well together.
L-R:  Becky Abraham (MBC past WM Director), Glenda, Jean, TOL Speaker Christen Price, Melanie & Judy)

Speaker Christen Price and our door prizes table
Guests & TOL singers...MBC Praise Team
servers & one of two desserts
prepared by our caterers Dianne & Danny Hooper

This year twenty-one hostesses (no table 15,16,17) beautifully decorated their tables and invited guests to sit at their table. Each hostess provided a small gift to their guests. Lisa Jones and I were co-hostesses.

...and our table.

Tradition continues...
...and with the end of another event
we have decided to step down
and encourage younger women
to continue this wonderful event.

I am very grateful to have had 2 event planning times
with these God given friends. They have taught me
so much as I worked alongside them.

In 1990 my brother gave me a Christmas Bear for Christmas. I loved that bear. So as we looked forward to another year of celebrating Christmas, I began to wonder what my bear would look like. It didn't happen. So I joked with my brother about not receiving my bear...and from then on I received a bear until we, as a family, embraced fellowship rather than gifts.

From time to time over the years I have decorated our house with only the Christmas bears and have really enjoyed remembering the years they were given to me.

Having a relationship with our Faith Riders at our church gives me great joy to share in one of their ministries. They visit our elderly at Christmas and gift them with lovable stuffed animals. What a wonderful time they have visiting and loving on them.

Lovingly patched as a MBC Faith Rider these bears will have a wonderful home this Christmas 2019 and be loved just as much as I loved each of them.
Ready to love.....

Opening up completely is quite difficult for one whose eyes see the life of another displayed as "all is well". Could it be...that...one's life is much the same as those around us?

What is it that makes us "fake" life rather than pour our heart into one another for assurance...that we are same...with joys & troubles.

My Knight In Shining Armor...

...surprised me for our anniversary - no. 42 - with a getaway to a mountain cabin of Knight dreams.

This light above the bed is artisan handmade and
imported from Cairo, Egypt.

The cabin was on a secluded private road along with the owner's other cabin. It was decorated in romantic renaissance. Love, romance and imagination flowed through the entire cabin.

and the views were spectacular.

We spent time in Cades Cove.

We also enjoyed a Country Tonite show, some shopping, and great food from the Applewood Farm, Old Mill, & Five Guys. Of course, any trip without our favorite grocery store pizza is a bust...we had Red Barron.

Happy Anniversary!!!
