Happy Birthday Mom!
You are 93 years old.

My mom has macular degeneration.
Overall, her health is good.

She still lives at home.

I have not seen her since February 2020.
We have not traveled during this pandemic.

Perhaps soon...💘

I had lost the motivation to do anything. I just wanted to sleep…to snuggle down a bit more in the bed for a little more light sleep each morning. It felt so good…warm bed and quiet.

BUT TODAY…..

I was ready to get out of bed to work in the yard on this beautiful day. After a bite to eat, I gathered my yard tools & gorilla cart and headed to the front yard. Glenn joined me not long after I began working. He wanted to pick up limbs & pinecones as he was going to run over the yard with the lawnmower.

In an hour or so, my sweatshirt came off and leggings & sleeveless tee was just the combination for digging in the dirt. ~HA!

My goal today was to...

…cut back the crepe myrtle trees,
…clear out the freeze plant leaves
…cut back the agapanthus & society garlic ,
     …edge the flower beds, and
     …replenish pine straw where needed.

DONE!

Waking up to coolness in the room and snuggling further down into the bed with the warm covers brings a smile to this face. Just a few more minutes…please…before I begin my day.

It's 6:40AM. The room is quiet. The door is shut. Hub is up for the day working in his office.

There is joy in the quiet and…

a few more minutes.

Frank & I were talking on December 28, 2020 trying to catch up on our family news. We talked about dad and the beaver dams he would “break up”. Dad loved walking around and taking care of his land.

This is a beaver dam leading from Kistler’s Pond to a stream alongside of where dad’s land lay.

Today we enjoyed some time with F2 & "the kids"...aka, the pups. We have kept our distance from them since before Christmas because of Hannah being exposed to coronavirus. She continued to work due to company expectations and has experienced no symptoms. For this we are very grateful.

We enjoyed a meal of grilled steak & chicken with sides of green beans & potato romanoff and some yeast rolls. Dessert was cheesecake. It was so delicious!

Afterwards, the guys watched football as the gals talked. It was a fun evening. The pups enjoyed being held & loved.
