i think it's tuesday. every day is beginning to run together, and the hours are no longer a tool for our schedule,

we sleep and rise. read the new numbers and pray.

GOD IS IN CONTROL

a wave to our neighbor across the street. trips to the grocery store at odd hours. social distancing is the game plan. we listen and follow authority of our nation's leader and our city leaders...

masks, shelter down,,,orders may come. do we heed the warning.

GOD IS IN CONTROL

every generation has been touched. family, friends we love. there is no exception thus far. life - death.

postponed weddings, funerals, reunions. schools closed. businesses and medical facilities under strict plans. how long?

GOD IS IN CONTROL

faith. trust. prayer. God is here. among this pandemic. among us.

He’s got the whole world
in his hands.
He’s got the whole world
in his hands.
He’s got the whole world
in his hands.
He’s got the whole world

AUGUST 2020
Five months and coronavirus still has a hold on our life.

We are under Safer At Home and Mask Orders until October 2nd.

Our life is good. We are still married...lol.

SEPTEMBER 2020
Today is September 20th. It has been 6 months since COVID invaded our life. Hubs & I have observed all the state mandated precautions against this virus. We venture out to purchase necessary items and have gone to medical appointments when offices have been opened. We ae still cautious.

Medical experts share that it may be Spring 2021 before we
get back to a life we once knew where masks and
social distancing words were not known.

Life is different, and we know that God is in control.
Our trust & faith in His Ways is sure.

Unless something revs up with this COVID,
I will not document any more.

NOVEMBER 2020
Today is November 30th. We are still under a state mandate for masks. Governor Ivey extended the "Safer at Home" mandate until December 11th due to the rising number of positive cases. It was predicted that a "second wave" would come in the Fall...and it did.

Our life is good. We practice safe measures by continuing to wear our masks even though a lot of people are not doing so. You can almost understand. I am tired of masking wearing but I wear one for YOU and then me.

Some of our neighbors have had covid, and one sweet lady passed away. She will be missed.

Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech are seeking FDA emergency approval for their Covid-19 vaccine. It is their hope to begin a process sometime in December.

DECEMBER 2020

Vaccines have been approved.
There are two presently being used.
Pfizer/BioNTech & Moderna.
Some allergy reactions have been recorded.

Dec 26 (UPI)...A new strain of the coronavirus
has spread to France, Spain, and Sweden

with Houston County showing 122 new positive cases.

I read the following article and wanted to keep a firm copy
so I am including in my heritage blog.

C. S. Lewis on the Coronavirus
March 12, 2020.....Matt Smethurst
                              Managing Editor
                              The Gospel Coalition

It's now clear that COVID-19 is a deadly serious global pandemic, and all necessary precautions should be taken. Still, C. S. Lewis's words-written 72 year ago-ring with some relevance for us. Just replace "atomic bomb" with "coronavirus."

In one way we think a great deal too much of the atomic bomb. "How are we to live in an atomic age?" I am tempted to reply: "Why, as you would have lived in the sixteenth century when the plague visited London almost every year, or as you would have lived in a Viking age when raiders from Scandinavia might land and cut your throat any night; or indeed, as you are already living in an age of cancer, an age of syphilis, an age of paralysis, an age of air raids, an age of railway accidents, an age of motor accidents."

In other words, do not let us begin exaggerating the novelty of our situation. Believe me, dear sir or madam, you and all whom you love were already sentenced to death before the atomic bomb was invented: and quite a high percentage of us were going to die in unpleasant ways. We had, indeed, one very great advantage over our ancestors-anesthetics; but we have that still. It is perfectly ridiculous to go about whimpering and drawing long faces because the scientists have added one more change of painful and premature death to a world which already bristled with such chances and in which death itself was not a chance at all, but a certainty.

This is the first point to be made: and the first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things-praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts-not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (a microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

in your heart & mind you have paths where your imagination takes you from beginning to end for each one. Just as each path plays out in your mind, you make changes in the path along the way to fit YOUR plan.

In our daily quiet time we should pray over every path to find clear direction and purpose. We should seek and ask God for His guidance and not rely on the changes we could make to provide an easy way for us.
