~Burn Barrels~
filled with trash
a toss of the match
a burning flame
broken into ashes

Clouds of grey cluster and hang
my eye wanders across the land
beyond the pond & think of the paths
made on daily walks with trusting steps
onto unknown land.

…long ago times of exploring, clearing & enjoying.

tall, strong tree

Fall & Winter have seeped through these woods. Howling winds fallen leaves, a bit of snow and cold where sweatshirts, coats and hats are worn.

Inside, warmth makes lazy become all too natural. Yet when my eyes cast upon tree that stands out, strong & tall, wonderment of withstanding cold draws the heart to flutter with gratitude for strength & endurance.

May my heart flutter as the tree does for you.

i am sentimental.💖

who will love the item that holds precious memories for me as much as i do. who will cherish the piece with the family/love history. who?

i find myself pondering these kind of questions of late.

nothing much of value, just a few pieces, but it's the heart of the story behind each piece. who will understand its importance in life and keep the story alive.

who?

i am seeing myself far into independence
wondering if the road is wide open
enough time
to gather
to quietly step away
reflect
redirect
no regrets

The woman who follows the crowd
will usually go no further than the crowd.

The woman who walks alone is likely
to find herself in places
no one has been before.

This sweet girl

Occasionally Garrett will call me to ask if I would go check on the kids. Today was no different than any other time. I dropped by after a WM run, and they were excited to see me. (lol, they get excited to see anyone!)

I always let them run in the backyard when I get there. They love their backyard. Today was sunny & a little warm. It was nice.

When it was time to go in, I called and turned to open the door. Romeo came through the door but I did not see Angel. I called her and looked in the backyard. I did not see her at first. Then...I saw her. She was at the gate looking at it.

When she first came into F2's family, I would go get her a lot of days and bring her to my house to give her company and play time with us. She would go to the gate & wait for me. Now that she has a brother, I don't get them as much. They play together at their house.

I just love this picture...makes me remember our times together before she had a brother.
