One day before "The Girls" beach trip and I am at the doctor's office. Phooey!!!

Doc advised me to get a couple days rest & medicine in me before spending time with friends. So...as my friends were home packing and getting ready to leave after church tomorrow for the beach, I was home on the couch coughing my head off.

Tuesday morning I hitched a ride with Retha as I was beginning to feel better. Destination..."Family Tides" in Carillon Beach.

Even though I was unable to share my devotional study with the girls, I did deliver the book (Warrior Chick) & bag to them and read a passage. Then Glenda surprised us with a bracelet celebrating friendship & sisterhood.

...and there is always some last minute fun. Five remaining ladies with me @ Pier 1 before heading home.

I just wish

I could delete

the distance between us.

yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores...you find them there. People searching for the "bargain of the year", a replacement item no longer for sale or something unique. Me, I search for all of the listed especially the unique. My unique find would be an angel that touched my heart bringing forth a memory.

over the years I have been able to secure various pieces.

This small angel just two inches high,

adorned with small glittering gems

reminds me of my friends...
jewels in my heart.

When redecorating our son's room

after he moved out, I found this

beautiful angel of pale greens & yellows 

with a biblical reminder that

all I need to do is "Trust".

This angel couple with hair of red & brown

remind me that my sister

will always be there for me.

This angel is one of a set. My friend Sue

has the other angel. The set is 

"Sisters of the Heart"...

a celebration of friendship.
