It was a bit foggy Tuesday morning, June 8th, with spells of rain as I drove to South Carolina for ten days.

Mom was happy to see me, and we had a wonderful time. My brother is now retired. He came over to the house each day. We enjoyed spending time together cleaning up the cemetery, riding around town taking pictures, cutting the grassy fields, solving a plumbing problem, and just talking.

Before I knew it, it was time for my second journey. And so I began driving.

Lots of traffic as I entered Columbia. Then she, my childhood bestie.…the other “Queen of Chef Boyardee” walked to my car with the biggest grin and arms wide open.

Some shopping and yard work…..a little singing and dancing as we cleaned the kitchen. Our adventures are always full of life. The nights were the best as we sat on the deck reminiscing. Memories flooded our minds. We spent one night just asking random questions and giving our answers. We are so much alike.

Just have to say…..she is so crazy. Do you know she called her son and asked if he and his co-workers could drop by and help us with a trellis we could not put in the ground? She did!!!
Irmo Fire Department to the rescue.

I also had a great time visiting with another childhood bestie and a college roommate. Our visits are full of talk, laughter & love.

I do have to say that it was hard to leave this visit because of the many, many hours of "catching up" with good friends. Think it won't be too long before another road trip is planned.
