Our Love Grows...(Sunday, July 29, 2012)

On Sunday we decided to go horseback riding. We had been to this stable before when it was owned by another family...McCarter Riding Stables.

After arriving and getting settled on our horses, Poppy & Mosely, we began our one and a half hour journey with a good-natured guide who was very, very laid back & country. Calvin, a 21 year old father, had a good heart & loved the outdoors.

Below you will see a picture of the horses we rode...Poppy & Mosely. We enjoyed our ride as we viewed God's awesomeness in nature all around us. We even saw a young cub only because the guide horse alerted us.

We always enjoy riding horses whenever we can while we visit the mountains.

After our mid-morning to lunch ride, we headed towards Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail to do a little car sight-seeing. We also thought we'd do a short hike to a waterfall. This is a wonderful motor trail.

We decided to hike Grotto Falls and so did everyone else on the trail. We looked and looked for a parking spot. Upon seeing one, we decided to pull in. Little did we know that this parking spot would cause us great trouble. After unsuccessful attempts on our own to get our car out of this spot, several guys stopped and helped us out. In the end we were pulled out with a pull-strap. Thanking the Lord that no major damage was done, our car was drivable, and no one was hurt.

And no...we did not hike to Grotto Falls.

We made it back to the cabin, cleaned ourselves up, went to eat, and headed to "Country Tonite" for an evening of music and celebration.

Monday's adventure is next.
